Friday Night Plans

Hey everyone! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful Fall weather! I made a mistake when I sent out the first email for October play dates. The trick-or-treating on the square is FRIDAY from 3-6 pm. It is fun and several people go. If you want to meet up as a group, meet in the grassy area by Shacklett's photography on the square at 4. Then, head on over for more fun at the church at 5:30 (or when you can) for food, fellowship, and a movie or two for the kids. Just bring a dish to share, the whole family, and feel free to invite any others that would enjoy our company. We will eat in the Fellowship Hall and watch a Veggie Tale movie or two in the youth wing on the big screen!

August dates

Hey everybody! I had a wonderful trip and was so thankful Allison offered a few fun things while I was gone. I hope everybody is doing great and enjoying their summer. Those that had kids start school yesterday, hope that went well. I have some dates for you to mark on your calendar, and a couple questions too.

First, a few of us had thought about the FUMC playgroup hosting a childrens' consignment sale at church. The $$ we raise would go do speakers, crafts, a family in need, etc. We need to choose a date. I was thinking a Saturday morning at church from 8-11 a.m. The gym would be open from 7-noon to set up and take down. We thought maybe asking a flat rate, so we don't have to deal with all the transactions or getting $$ from people afterwards. A flat $10 to have a booth set up. Share with me your thoughts please. What date seems to work with you guys? Oct. 17th or November sometime? We need to advertise in the church bulletin and newsletter. We'll need help maybe putting a playgroup table together (?), sharing about playgroup. I'm sure there is more too. So, I will need help. Please tell me if you want to help or any thoughts on the consignent sale.
