October Play Dates
Hello all! I hope you October is going well and that many of you enjoyed a Fall Break. Here are a few dates for the rest of October to play together.
This Saturday 18th, Bell Buckle/Webb School Arts & Craft Fair in Bell Buckle (It goes all day Sat. and Sun.) FREE except parking
Sunday the 19th Harvest Festival at FUMC from 2-6 pm FREE food, fun, fellowship, games, etc.
Tuesday 21st- Discovery Center Parents & Tots 9 am
We are still working out details for Walden Farm (www.waldenfarm.biz) TBA
Friday 31st--Trick-or-Treat on the Square 3-? pm Contact aimieboo@bellsouth.net meet at the field beside Shacklett's photography
ALSO Veggie Tales telecast at FUMC/ FREE kids' movie and potluck/ 5:30 and the main viewing will be at 7 pm

Three Friday Nights
Join Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation for the 2nd Annual Campfire Concert series featuring live trailside music by local musicians at the General Bragg Trailhead. Featuring local bands of different genres, this unique setting offers the whole family a great time!
Friday, Sept 26th: The Flatt Sisters - Three sisters...one sound. Listen to three-part harmony on songs like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and sing along to folk and gospel favorites. Some acapella, some accompanied, all fun!
Friday, Oct 3rd: Rachel Pearl - Jazz/Pop: A journey of musical styles. First place in 2006 & 2006 American Idol Underground Jazz Competition.
Friday Oct 10th: The In-Laws - Music your parents like, too. Performing easy listening folk and soft rock favorites from the 60's, 70's, and 80's.
Music begins at 7:30p.m. and smores and drinks will be available for purchase. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for your own comfort. General Bragg Trailhead is located at 1740 W. College Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.

Here are a the August dates I came up with, please let me know if you want to add a date here or there. Also, school has started and many kids are attending different places..let me know which days and times are still good for you. I can try to work around these schedules as much as possible.
Wed. Aug. 13 10 a.m.- Discovery Center (They are supposed to be opening up a new display.)
Wed Aug. 20 10 am - art and ball day-- bring blanket, balls (outdoor games), coloring books, crayons, picnic lunch---field out back of the church (First United Methodist in Murfreesboro)
Saturday August 23 - Mothers' Night Out-- meet for dinner and movie
Monday, August 25 10 am - Splash Pad Smyrna
Thursday, August 28th 5:30-- Dinner and play (potluck) - Siegel Park

Tuesday July 29th (meet at church at 8:45- movie at 10:00) FREE movie at Providence Stadium 14 in Mt. Juliet --Pirates Who Don't Do Anything - Veggie Tales (G)
Thursday July 31st 10:00 at FUMC-- our own Elliott Petterson (music director at FUMC) will teach and show children some music things
And look forward to things in August..MNO to movie, movie at church, picnic/potluck, Splash Pad, swimming, art day

MTSU Diary Farm Tour & Hiking
We are going on a farm tour on Wed. the 18th at 10 am. Directions are as follows: take Medical Center Parkway West. It turns into Manson Pike at I 24. The MTSU Dairy is approx. 1 mile on the right after you cross over the interstate. There is a white block house, white block dairy bldg. and several pastures. We can pack lunches and picnic in some shade afterwards.
Then, Thursday the 19th at 9:30 we are going on a hike at Barfield Crescent Park. Go to the Wilderness Station and we'll meet and go from there. The hikes is maybe 3 miles round trip, all paved. At the middle of the hike is a stream the kids can play in and get wet, so planned accordingly in your attire.
